Last Updated: July 18, 2026
1. Introduction
The platform under the name and style 'Dayly' — including the website www.bookdayly.com and the Dayly mobile applications available on Android and iOS (collectively, the "Platform") — is owned, operated and made available by Dayly Household Services Private Limited, having its registered office R1601, Eviva, Palava, Dombivali 421204 (hereinafter, "Dayly", "Company", "we", "us" or "our", which term shall include its assignees and/or successors-in-interest).
This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how Dayly collects, uses, stores, processes, discloses and otherwise handles personal information and other information in connection with your use of the Platform and the services offered through it (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by any third party, including through any third-party site or service you may access through the Platform.
This document is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules"), and is also aligned with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (together, the "DPDP Act"), which govern the processing of digital personal data in India. Both frameworks currently apply on a transitional basis, and Dayly seeks to meet the higher of the two standards.
Please read this Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Use before you access the Platform or avail the Services.
2. Scope and Acceptance
This Privacy Policy applies to Users and Experts (each as defined in the Terms of Use). "You", "your" or "yourself" refers to any person who accesses or uses the Platform in any capacity. By using the Platform or the Services, or by otherwise providing us your information, you agree to this Privacy Policy and expressly consent to the collection, use, processing and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not access or use the Platform or avail the Services. Capitalised terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Use.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
When you register on, or use, the Platform, we may collect:
- Your name, residential/service address, phone number, email address, and sex;
- Household details relevant to the Services you book, such as the number of family members, number of rooms, dimensions of your residence, and details of pets, where you choose to provide these;
- Payment-related details or other payment method data necessary to process the Services (processed via our payment partner(s); Dayly does not store full card details on its own servers);
- Any additional information you provide on a case-by-case basis, including at login/logout or while availing specific Services.
3.2 Location Data
With your permission, we collect precise or approximate location data from your device while you are actively using the Platform for a booking or an ongoing Service session. See Section 6 (Location Data — Purpose and Controls) for details on how this is used and how you can control it.
3.3 Voice Data (Optional)
If you use the Voice Booking feature, we may process:
- Voice recordings submitted by you;
- The text transcript generated from your recording;
- The interpreted booking details (such as requested service, preferred date and time); and
- Technical information necessary to process your request, such as application version and device platform.
See Section 7 (Voice Booking) for full details on how Voice Data is collected, used, shared and retained.
3.4 Non-Personal / Automatically Collected Information
We may also automatically collect non-personal information, such as your device's IP address, operating system, browser type, internet service provider, pages requested, and cookie information ("Non-Personal Information"). This information does not, on its own, identify you specifically.
3.5 Communications, Feedback and Testimonials
If you message us, leave feedback, or send us correspondence (including where other Users or third parties send us correspondence about your activity on the Platform), we collect and retain this information to resolve disputes, provide customer support, respond to queries, and improve the Platform and Services.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use Personal Information, Non-Personal Information and Voice Data to:
- Provide, operate and improve the Platform and Services;
- Identify and reach you, and confirm your identity and eligibility to use the Platform;
- Match you with Experts and facilitate the booking and delivery of Services;
- Process Fee payments;
- Convert speech into text, understand and confirm Voice Booking requests, and improve the reliability and performance of that feature;
- Send administrative notices and Service-related alerts, and — where you have consented — marketing communications;
- Analyse how the Platform is used, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and personalise your Platform/Service experience;
- Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, misuse, errors and other prohibited activity;
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations; and
- Conduct internal and market research, and administer contests, promotions or surveys.
We do not use your Personal Information or Location Data for advertising or marketing purposes beyond what is disclosed in this Privacy Policy, and we do not use Voice Data for advertising or marketing purposes at all.
5. Legal Basis and Consent
Our primary basis for processing your Personal Information is your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, given through a clear affirmative action — such as accepting this Privacy Policy or granting a device permission (for example, location or microphone access). Certain processing may also be carried out without consent where permitted by law, such as to comply with a legal obligation or respond to a medical emergency, or as otherwise recognised as a legitimate use under the DPDP Act. Where we collect Sensitive Personal Data or Information (as defined under the SPDI Rules, such as payment information) or Voice Data, we seek your explicit, separate consent at the point of collection.
6. Location Data — Purpose and Controls
We request access to your device's location only to:
- Show you Experts and Services available near you;
- Verify the location at which a booked Service is to be, or is being, delivered;
- Enable live tracking during an active booking, where applicable; and
- Support fraud prevention and safety for in-home Service visits.
Location data is collected only while you are actively using the Platform for a booking or Service session — Dayly does not track your location continuously in the background. You may deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings; doing so may limit or disable features that depend on location, such as Expert matching.
7. Voice Booking
Voice Booking is an optional feature that allows you to make service booking requests using your voice. When you choose to use this feature, the Dayly app records your voice only after you initiate recording and grant microphone permission.
Your voice recording is securely transmitted to Dayly's servers for processing. To convert your speech into text and interpret your booking request, Dayly uses trusted third-party cloud-based speech recognition and artificial intelligence service providers.
Your voice recording is processed solely for the purpose of understanding your booking request and providing the requested Service. We do not use your voice recordings for advertising or marketing purposes.
In summary:
- Voice recordings are collected only when you choose to use Voice Booking;
- Voice data is transmitted securely;
- Voice data is used only to provide the requested functionality;
- Voice data is not sold; and
- Voice Booking is optional — you can use Dayly to browse and book Services without it.
8. Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information saved by your browser onto your computer or mobile device ("Cookies"). We use Cookies to record aspects of your visit and to help provide uninterrupted service.
We may use Cookies, log files, device identifiers and web beacons to: remember information so you do not have to re-enter it; provide personalised content and information; monitor and improve the effectiveness of our Service; track aggregate usage and demographic patterns; diagnose or fix technical problems; and help you access your account efficiently after sign-in.
Third-party service providers may also use Cookies or similar technologies on the Platform to gather information about your usage patterns, including to optimise and personalise advertisements. Dayly does not control, and this Privacy Policy does not govern, Cookies placed by such third parties. Where available, these third parties may allow you to opt out of tailored advertising; opting out does not necessarily stop you from receiving advertisements generally.
9. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We may disclose your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information to:
- Our affiliates, personnel, employees, Experts and consultants, as necessary to provide the Services;
- Third parties, where we believe in good faith that doing so is reasonably necessary to detect, prevent or address fraud, security or technical issues, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Dayly, our Users, Experts or the public, or as required or permitted by applicable law; and
- Third parties in connection with a business transfer (see Section 11).
Voice recordings and transcripts are shared only with service providers that are necessary to provide the Voice Booking feature (see Section 10). We do not sell your voice recordings, transcripts, or other Personal Information to third parties. Dayly does not permit unauthorised persons or organisations to use any information collected from you through the Platform.
10. Third-Party Service Providers
Dayly may engage third-party service providers to perform functions on our behalf, including payment processing, cloud hosting, analytics, and customer communications (SMS/email/OTP). Our contractual arrangements with these providers restrict them from using your information except to provide these services to us, and they are not authorised to use your information for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
AI and Speech Processing Services
To provide the Voice Booking feature, Dayly uses trusted third-party cloud-based speech recognition and artificial intelligence service providers that process voice recordings and transcripts on our behalf. These providers process your information only for the purpose of delivering the requested functionality and in accordance with their applicable privacy and security obligations. Dayly does not authorise these providers to use your information for advertising or marketing purposes.
11. Business Transfers
Personal Information and Non-Personal Information collected from you may be transferred to a third party as a result of a sale, acquisition, merger, asset sale, or bankruptcy involving Dayly. Any such transfer will be carried out in compliance with applicable data protection law, and Users will be informed of any material changes to this Privacy Policy resulting from such a transfer.
12. Regulatory and Legal Disclosures
We cooperate with government and law enforcement authorities, and with private parties, to enforce and comply with the law. We may access, use, store, transfer and disclose your information, including to government, tax or law enforcement authorities, where we reasonably determine it is necessary and appropriate to: satisfy applicable law, regulation, government request or legal process; protect the safety, rights, property or security of Dayly, our Services, the Platform, or any third party; detect, prevent or address fraud, security or technical issues; or prevent or stop activity we consider illegal, unethical or legally actionable. Such disclosures may be made without prior notice to you where permitted by law.
13. International Data Transfers
Your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information may be transferred to, and processed at, a destination within or outside India, to the extent permitted under applicable law, including the DPDP Act. Depending on the technologies used to process Voice Booking requests, your information may be processed by trusted service providers located in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. Where such transfers occur, we require appropriate contractual and technical safeguards from the receiving party.
14. Data Retention
We retain Personal Information only for as long as necessary to provide our Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Voice recordings are processed for the duration necessary to complete your booking request and are not intentionally stored by Dayly after processing. Voice transcripts and related diagnostic information may be retained for a limited period to improve service quality, troubleshoot issues, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations; access to these records is restricted to authorised personnel.
If you have signed up for marketing communications, we retain the relevant Personal Information for as long as your consent remains in effect. If you wish to close your account or ask Dayly to stop using your Personal Information, contact us at cs@bookdayly.com. Even after account closure, Dayly may retain certain Personal Information as needed to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, investigate or prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.
15. Security of Information
Dayly has implemented reasonable security practices and procedures to safeguard your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information, and processes such information only in a manner compatible with the purpose for which it was collected. You can access your Personal Information through the Platform and request correction, amendment or deletion of inaccurate information.
Dayly uses commercially reasonable precautions — including physical, technical and procedural safeguards — to protect your information against loss, theft, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your account login credentials.
In the event of a breach affecting your Personal Information, Dayly will take reasonable steps to notify affected Users and, where required under applicable law (including the DPDP Act), the Data Protection Board of India, without undue delay.
16. Children's Privacy
The Platform and Services are intended only for use by persons who are 18 years of age or older and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information, Location Data or Voice Data from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact our Grievance Officer (Section 25).
17. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access copies of your Personal Information (we may charge a reasonable fee for this);
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information;
- Withdraw your consent at any time, with effect on our future processing of your Personal Information;

To exercise any of these rights, email us at cs@bookdayly.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
18. Your Choices
The Voice Booking feature is optional. You may continue using Dayly to browse Services and make bookings without using voice input.
You may deny or revoke microphone permission at any time through your device settings. Doing so will disable Voice Booking but will not affect other features of the application. Similarly, you may deny or revoke location permission at any time, which may limit features that depend on location (see Section 6).
19. Permissions Used on Your Device

Requested to show nearby Experts and Services, and to verify or track the location of an active booking. Not used for continuous background tracking.
Microphone Permission
The Dayly application requests microphone access only when you choose to use the Voice Booking feature. Microphone access is not used for continuous listening or background recording.
Other Permissions
Where the app requests other device permissions (such as storage, camera or notifications), these are used only for the specific feature for which they are needed, and are explained at the point the permission is requested.
20. Opt-Out of Marketing Communications
You may decline to submit Personal Information or Non-Personal Information through the Platform, though certain features may then be unavailable to you.
